Hara Alonso is a pianist and sound designer based in Stockholm. Her work expands the music practices through new technologies and body expression. Physicality is a central element in her creation, therefore she has invented some unique body interfaces for electronic music. She is an advocate of free and open source software where she found the possibility to design sound limitless. In her sonic universe coexists the radical and the intimate, the organic and the syntetic, the acoustic and the digital.

    Her work has been presented in multiple festivals and venues as Sound of Stockholm (Sweden), Biennale de Musique en Scène (Lyon-France), S.T.R.E.A.M. Festival (Hamburg-Germany), Experimental Sound Gallery (San Petesburg-Russia) or Keroxen Festival (Tenerife-Spain).

    In 2018 her album debut, Pianoïse, was released by the independent Spanish label Keroxen. During 2019 her album Islas Sonoras will be released by CAAM- Sonoro.

    During 2015 and 2017 Hara Alonso was part of the master in Contemporary Performance and Composition (CoPeCo). An itinerant program across 4 European cities: Tallinn, Stockholm, Lyon and Hamburg.

    She holds a BA degree in Classic Piano Performance in the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Salamanca (Spain). During 2013 she got granted to accomplish an Erasmus program in Sibelius Academy (Helsinki-Finland).

    Hara Alonso is a freelance musician involved in different projects around Europe. Currently she collaborates in dance and circus research projects at the University of the Arts (Uniarts). She is also teaching music programming at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm.
