The duo Hara Alonso + Alba G. Corral defines itself as audiovisual chamber music since listening is the means by which the mixture of sound and visuals is generated. Their new proposal, Somatic Suspension, for piano, electronics and visuals, is a dance of intimate melodies, minimal electronics and textural processes that evokes the memory of an uncertain future.

Somatic Suspension arises from a meditative process of introspection and listening. In this work Hara Alonso transfers to the sonic plane diverse investigations around repetition, the spiral and the digital void. The combination of the acoustic sound of the piano transmuted by electronics creates complex atmospheres in constant generation roaming between stillness and ecstasy. Alba G. Corral’s visuals accompany these processes through real-time drawing and coding, creating a visual extension of the sound material.
